These trees are on the corner of Oberlin and Fourth.

This was the iced tree behind Holy Tony’s on February 5, 2012.

Gabriel’s Tree at Settlers’ Watch in February 2011.
We planted a miniature blue spruce so that he would always have a Christmas tree.
He would have been two and a half today ♥

Themost impressive is for me the tree covered with ice. Inever saw anything like this here at us. It looks beautiful, but the tree doesn’t like it I suppose.
This is a wonderful idea, planting a tree for Gabriel, a tree that is always green.
These sycamores look pretty battered because of the wires, but it gives them character.
That tree sits right on the lake, on an embankment behind a local church. Chuck said it kind of resembles the crashing waves that helped create it. The other day, the wave splash was as tall as, if not a little taller than, this tree, but I couldn’t catch it.
Those trees took their fair share of damage from the utility company cutting them around the wires. The sad part is they are probably as old as Lorain and their time is drawing near.
Even though Gabe got to meet Santa, we didn’t get our tree up before that fateful doctor’s appointment. We thought we’d have plenty of time to celebrate Christmas when we got back home. Just another item on that long long list of regrets.
I understand WHY the utility companies cut through the trees for the lines, but I’m glad they missed my neighborhood. I have a beautiful maple tree out front and they have never cut it. It’s a shame like you said, what they do to these beautiful trees that have been here since LONG before we were.
